Community

Our local area has so much to offer.

DEVELOPING YOUNG PEOPLE

Local Projects

Relay is involved in a number of projects that help to support young people in our local area. They vary from design projects, education in the workplace and supported placements.

Woodland Project

We have adopted an area of woodland not far from our offices in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Along with our ESG and Net Zero targets, this area will support environmental developments in our local community.

Working in partnership with CTE, we will be involving local schools and colleges with wellbeing and eco programmes that support their learning. It’s in need of a little work, but the team have their wellies at the ready!

Oastlers Graffiti Project

Relay has launched its first rug design, featuring artwork by learners from Oastlers School, Bradford, West Yorkshire. Oastlers is a specialist setting providing support for children and young people who have social, emotional and mental health disturbance.

The patterns have been spray painted by hand and each design has a story or message behind it. We were really moved by the thinking behind the designs and the learners enjoyed the opportunity to be creative and show people the art they have made.

A proportion of the profits will be donated to the learners in recognition of their creative input and originality.

“I chose my original design because I believe that people should see what is happening to the world due to pollution. It is important to me because we should try to help the world. I really enjoyed designing and also spraying the design onto the wall.”
